Bring the music to you and host a special night for your friends/family while supporting the arts!

How do house shows work?
Lots of folks say they'd love to host a house concert, but they don't have the budget for it. Actually, house concerts are typically free for hosts! Here's how it works:
• The host provides their space and invites their music-loving friends/family/ neighbors/co-workers to a seated concert in their home.
• The artist provides all the necessary sound equipment, appropriate to the space. (Just need access to a power outlet!)
• There is a collection at the show (usually $15-20 donation per person) that goes to the artist.

More info:
• 15 to 40 people is a typical house show audience.
• A house show usually includes a "doors" time about an hour before the show for folks to arrive, get food/drinks, socialize, etc.
• Some hosts do potluck-style food and BYOB drinks, and some choose to provide food/refreshments for guests.
• JD usually performs one 75-minute set or two 40-minute sets with an intermission (host's choice!).
• House shows are typically acoustic performances.
• If on tour or far from home, the option to stay the night is greatly appreciated! Couch is fine :)
• Some hosts elect to pay a flat rate and make the show free for their guests. This can be discussed!
• Some hosts elect to make the show open to the public in addition to their invited guests.
• It's your house! All details are flexible and can be discussed!
